Fishing

Wisconsin resident fishing license information

Lake Chetek is one of a chain of six lakes that together make up 3,800 acres of water with more than 100 miles of picturesque shoreline. These fertile waters produce an abundant supply of panfish for fun and easy angling. For the more serious fisherman, there are bass, northern pike, and walleye.
Motor trolling and water skiing are allowed on the entire chain of lakes.

Dean Bundy's Bass - 2004

Dean Bundy of Streator, Illinois caught this fine large mouth while others were complaining of poor fishing. Dean said he'd been letting the big ones loose because he couldn't find anyone with a camera.
Well, Dean, this one's pretty big!

Jeff Warner's Bass

Jeff Ehredt's Bass
Jeff Warner of North Fond du Lac, WI, caught most of these fine bass. He claims to have let a lot of them go, which is one fish story that I do believe.

Jeff Ehredt of Kenosha, WI, has a favorite spot for bass. This 2.96-pound, 17-in bass apparently followed him to where they were fishing for bluegill!

Dennis' and Reba's Bass

Sharon's Crappie
Dennis and Reba Derryberry of Akron, Indiana show off three fine bass.

A quiet day on the lakes is relaxing for most, but brought Shirley Miller of Danville, Illinois, this 15 ounce black crappie. It was a good fighter. This fish would have been a prize winner. You'll prize every moment on the Chetek Chain of Lakes at Rainbow's End Resort.

A Dock of Crappies
Joe's Walleye
Joe Davis of East Peoria, Illinois, admits to having help catching this fine batch of crappies. . .

But he claims this walleye as his own!

It's a fish-eat-fish world:
A True Fish Story
How many times can you catch a fish?
Another True Fish Story
You can lead a man to water,
but you can't make him fish.
---- He just does that anyway.
If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day.
If you teach a man to fish, he'll buy an ugly hat.
If you talk to a starving man about a fish, you're a consultant.
